Regarding the captaincy of team india, Gautam Gambhir said, ”If you ask me as a coach, if there is only one captain for all formats, then it is good to work with one person. but this does not happen. in today’s time, you have to understand that no one can be made captain for 12 months. you play international cricket for 10 months and IPL for 2 months. In such a situation,the captain of Tea, India will also lead the franchise. this will have a very bad effect on the mind and gane of that player. therefore, it is good to have captains. this can reduce the pressure. Gambhir was asked during an interview whether it is better to to make one player the captain for all formets or should we make different teams and 3 different captains. In response to this, he suggested 2 captains instead of 3. but after the announcement of the captaincy of the test team Team India will have 3captains in different formats. If gambhir consider 2 captains better and works in this direction, then it is obvious that rohit may have to leave the captaincy . as has been claimed earlier in the media report that rohit had to leave the test due to gambhir ‘s pressure . however ,only time will tell whether er this will happen or not .
