2- Wickets taken in debut match Vignesh Puthur took a total of 3 wickets in his debut match against Chennai Super Kings. He gave away 32 runs in his 4 overs. He took the wickets of CSK captain Rituraj Gaikwad, Shivam Dubey and later his 3 wickets in the form of Deepak Hooda. Captain Surya Kumar Yadav stopped his over after 3 overs. This proved to be a big mistake because he had given Mumbai Indians a comeback by taking 3 wickets in 3 overs. CSK won this match by 4 wickets. Left hand spinner Vignesh Puthur started playing cricket at the age of 11. He played for the Alleppey Indians team in the first season of the Kerala Cricket League. Puthur took only 3 wickets in that tournament. But the focus of the Mumbai Indians square fell on him, who invited him for trial.
